Role Summary:

In this pivotal role, the Senior Systems Administrator is not just a part of our IT team but a key player in safeguarding our critical systems and assets. The Senior Systems Administrator, will be at the forefront of Innovative Solution Development, Implementation and Optimization, Strategic Contributions, and Training and Leadership. by playing a crucial role in building solutions that align with our business objectives, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation across the company for peak performance. This role is designed for those who relish the challenge and responsibility of producing tangible results. You will be backed by a robust leadership team committed to your professional growth, offering tailored training to augment your skills.
Essential Competencies:
· Server Management
o Responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading Windows servers.
o Ensures the servers operate efficiently by monitoring their performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
o Implements and oversees server security measures.
o Manages server backups and disaster recovery protocols.
o Coordinates and collaborates with software developers and other IT staff for server-related tasks.
· Network Administration
o Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects.
o Plans, designs, and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.
o Assists in coordinating special projects including network-related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem-solving.
o Maintains a thorough understanding of the basics behind the internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.)
· Security Oversight
o Develops and implements network security policies and procedures.
o Manages and ensures the security of databases and data transferred both internally and externally.
o Performs risk assessments, audits, and system backups to ensure data integrity.
o Coordinates response to network security breaches and vulnerabilities, including preventive measures to minimize the risk of future incidents.
· Additional Duties
o Provides technical support and guidance to users and other IT personnel.
o Keeps current with new technologies and continually updates skills.
o Manages multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight schedules.
o Provides on-call support for emergencies or scheduled maintenance.
